My Favorite Free Website Tools – Google Analytics

There are several free websits tools for tracking visitors but the absolute best is Google Analytics. As a website owner it is imperative that you know how many visitors you receive, how they got there, how long they stay, and search words.

Google Analytics is easy to set up.
1. Get a Google Account (if you have a Gmail account you already have an account you can use).
2. Sign up for Google Analytics
3. Set up your Analytics account
4. Start Tracking

Free Website Tools – FTP – File Transfer Protocol

There are several free software programs the can transfer files to your server. My favorite is Filezilla. It is nice little program that is easy to install and set up.
1. Go to Filezilla and download the software
2. Install the software on your computer
3. Click on ‘Open Site Manager’
4. Click on ‘New Site’
5. Type in the site location, user name and password
6. Click ‘connect’ and you should be connected to your server!
