    Free Productivity Tool – Paymo

For those of you who work from home, and need a easy to use, and intuitive program to track your time, paymo may be the solution you’re looking for.

    free time tracking timesheets

With the new Invoicing feature, easy to use Reports, which show you your time entries in a variety of ways decided by filters you choose, and time tracking by project and task, this is a very cool tool.

You can set up multiple clients, and assign projects and tasks to each of those clients for the work you do for them. Then, just open up the time tracking window, choose your project and task that you want to work on, and start the timer. When you’re done, stop the timer, and your time entry will automatically be recorded for that client, under that project and task.

Switching tasks, projects and even clients is done fast and easily through a drop down menu on the time tracking window. You can even add a new task right from the time tracking window.

When you’re done for the day, you can go back to the main webpage, and you’ll get a breakdown of your time by week, month, overall time, and more.

You can create custom reports to show you exactly how much time you’ve been spending for a specific client in the Reports section, and when it’s time to send in your invoice, the new Invoice section will make it quick and easy by allowing you to pull in your time right from your time sheet. Then you can print it out, or download it in a pdf format to attach to an email, and you’re done! It couldn’t be easier.

If you upload your own company logo, your invoice will automatically be customized to include it, giving you a professional looking invoice without any extra effort on your part.

Paymo even has a desktop application, for those of you who prefer that over a web application

The one negative thing I’ve seen with this program, is that the projects for all clients are grouped together in the project drop down on the time tracking window, not sorted by client, so you’ll have to know what project is for which client. Or you could name your projects in such a way so as to tell you which client it’s for. This doesn’t seem to be too much of a problem though, falling more under the “would be nice” category than the “must have” category. And when you consider all the other great features paymo has to offer, you’ll be wishing you’d found this sooner.
