   Get Avast Anti-virus by Alwil, Spybot Search & Destroy by Safer Networking and Ad-Aware se Personal by Lavasoft (NOTE: Lavasoft has Ad-Aware 2007 out now. It’s been found to be FULL of holes and pretty much worthless at this time so don’t waste your time with it …YET. Lavasoft needs the time to iron this thing out before we can update to it!)

   Get Avast here:

   If/and/or when you ever put that puter on the net use this Online scan to see if there’s an infection that’s disabling the onboard "Armor-ware":

   Go to the very bottom of the list and get this:

   Ad-aware 6.1 (2 MB)

   Burn all as zipfiles to a cd and then install them on your "offline" puter.

   REMEMBER: All the "Armor-ware" in the world isn’t going to do you a bit of good unless you UPDATE it at LEAST weekly and then SCAN with it!!! I do mine EVERY DAY.
