I hope that you still have Internet Explorer 7 and that you did not upgrade it to IE8. There are still lots of problems with IE8. During the time I spend today answering questions, there were at least 6 askers, asking for help after installing internet explorer 8
It is not ready yet, even when Microsoft sais it is.

Sorry can’t think of exactly what you’re looking for but …
iMovie has limited effects.
There are effects packages you can buy for good editing softwares, i think there’s one for iMovies if not Adobe is good and has software for pretty much everything.
